Carefully Sourced Ingredients

Gently Cooked
Our meals are gently cooked in small batches, bringing together real ingredients to create complete, balanced meals with natural flavour.

Frozen Fresh
After cooking, our meals are frozen to lock in freshness until they reach your dog’s bowl, with no artificial preservatives.
Who decides what goes in the bowl? Not us.
Pawzi recipes are not written in-house. They are formulated by a qualified animal nutritionist at an independent South African companion-animal nutrition consultancy, and reviewed against published nutrient standards before anything is cooked.
Independent, not in-house
Our recipes are formulated by a consultancy that develops and registers commercial pet food for the wider industry, working to nutrient standards rather than a marketing brief.
Three standards, not one
Every recipe is formulated to Act 36 (South Africa), AAFCO (United States) and FEDIAF (Europe) nutrient standards.
A premix made for these recipes
Most small brands buy an off-the-shelf vitamin and mineral blend. Ours was formulated specifically for our recipes and is manufactured to that specification.
Checked in a laboratory
Protein, fat, fibre, ash, moisture, calcium and phosphorus, plus a microbiological panel, are verified by an accredited laboratory.
